We travel quite a bit on a regular basis, and we find that local food/fruit/market tours offer incredible value for a glimpse (and possibly taste) of local life. This tour was once again an incredible highlight amongst our group! Our guide took us through a local market, showing us different foods and explaining how some are used in local cuisine.

A very interesting tour for those who want to experience a bit of the daily life of Rio de Janeiro residents, with the explosion of colors, perfumes and sounds of a street market.
We tasted delicious fruits and learned a bit about the history of each one.
Highly recommended.

Amazing tasting tour of local fruits, vegetables, herbs and cachaça. Luiz was full of knowledge as he is also a chef which added another level of depth to the tour. We finished by trying some local pastries which was a perfect ending. Would definitely recommend. It is an open air market around a park so it was nice to walk around the park and then sit inside to try more fruits.
